This panel on the Future of Online video was interesting for several reasons. First, because Kevin Rose of digg.com and diggnation was on it. I’ve been a fan of his since his TechTV days, and frankly, he’s adorable. Secondly, the variety of panelists included both independent publishers of video and a rep from Disney. It was a good mix of opinions, but I wish there had been more ammunition to thwart some of the claims of the Disney guy, like we are running out of bandwidth on the Internet. They discussed Net Neutrality, really deserving of its own panel, and the limitations and benefits of using a video hosting service. Finally, they all drank beer, and there’s something about listening to drunk people talk about the Internet.
Kevin Rose drinks to that…
