October 7th was HAAM Benefit Day in Austin. HAAM stands for Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, a non-profit that provides health care and insurance to our talented musical artists, who often are unable to afford these services on their own.

After his show at Threadgill’s, I stayed around while Rhett chatted with fans. I just “happened” to mention that Lil Capn Travis was playing at Continental Club and that I was going. I knew Rhett was pals with those guys.
