October 7th was HAAM Benefit Day in Austin. HAAM stands for Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, a non-profit that provides health care and insurance to our talented musical artists, who often are unable to afford these services on their own. The HAAM Benefit Day recruited over 200 business and more than 100 musicians to play all around town. I stopped by Potbelly Sandwiches on the Drag this morning to watch my friend Paul Minor. Afterward, I stayed for Brennen Leigh’s set. I had not seen her before, just met her today, but she’s an amazingly talented singer-songwriter. Check her out sometime and get out to see some live music!
