I skipped music on Friday, instead attending a few more panels and checking out two films – one a documentary about Richard Linklater and then the new Linklater film Everybody Wants Some. I love when I get a chance to squeeze in a few films. I saw the new Pee-Wee Herman film, too, on Thursday night.
So, that left Saturday to take in some bands. I got to see excellent sets by friends in Quiet Company and Fastball, with Day Wave in between. And saw AudioDamn one more time. Please check them out. They are signed on LA Reid’s Epic Records. Big things ahead for them and their infectious pop/rock/soul sound.
And I couldn’t resist one last morning show, stopping by to see my friend Salim Nourallah at Cherrywood Coffee on Sunday morning.
I am exhausted but inspired. It’s been a great two weeks, starting with some EDU panels, a full Interactive experience (check out my students’ SXTXState.com, and social media @sxtxtate on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat! I will begin to re-assimilate into my regular life, but not after a bit of post-SXSW depression. So much to process and consider. I met so many great people and got to see lots of friends. It was a blast!
